ADR command line interpreter(ADRCI)

ADRCI enables you to:
  • View diagnostic data within the Automatic Diagnostic Repository (ADR).
  • View Health Monitor reports.
  • Package incident and problem information into a zip file for transmission to Oracle Support.

Diagnostic data includes incident and problem descriptions, trace files, dumps, health monitor reports, alert log entries, and more.

Directory Structure

defaults to $ORACLE_BASE

  • /ora01/oracle/diag
·         asm/db/instance/….
·         tnslsnr/host/listener_name/….
·         Rdbms/db/instance/……

Parameters which controls the location of alert log entries, trace dumps, incident, problems, dumps and more

·         ASM – diagnostic_dest
·         listener.ora - ADR_BASE_LISTENER
·         sqlnet.ora - ADR_BASE
·         database
o        diagnostic_dest
o        audit_file_dest defaults to $ORACLE_BASE/admin/adump
o        DATA_PUMP_DIR defaults to  $ORACLE_BASE/admin/dpdump

Check directory structure in a database
